Swiss Museums Go Digital

Museums stage culture, create sensuous and informative approaches to our world and give incentives for our individual lives. Also to the young, the millennials…

MUSEUMS are places for reflection and inspiration. Millennials, who are digital natives, make up the generation that shapes the future. Our pioneer-project amuze connects museums and millennials through lively and inspirational relationships – by doing this, it unlocks the potential of an interactive exchange.

amuze develops digital competencies and tools for museums. And creates digital incentives and exclusive experiences for millennials. The driving force of the project is a dynamic triad.

We meet the digital natives

where they are: out and about with their smartphones. We lead amuzeYOUNG members into the museums step by step. Exculsive events create a relaxed first encounter in and with museums.

We support museums

in their development of innovative offerings as well as digital communication. This enables amuzePROFESSIONAL partners to address the digital natives directly and generate a new audience.

How is it possible to excite Digital Natives about museums?

The young generation shows interest in cultural and historical treasures- however, an appropriate access is often lacking. This is what the makers of amuze are convinced of. The pioneer project is therefore looking for ideal ways to address a younger audience segment. We test online and offline experiences together with selected museums and millennials and build an interested community. Through an iterative process, amuze approaches the target audience step by step: Whatever is received well, is enhanced, whatever does not work, is abandoned. The findings of this process are then further developed through an exchange with the exhibition and communication staff and open content is made available.

The goal of the pioneer project, supported by the development fund of Engagement Migros, is to acquire new audiences for Swiss museums.
